Dew Drop In
There are always pictures to take. Sometimes you have to be a little more observant. This morning I needed to mow the lawn, but was waiting for the dew to dry a bit. As I looked at it, it occurred to me that there were pictures here - tiny drops that hung on the blades of grass like Christmas ornaments. I had to lie on my belly and use my GorrilaPod to brace the camera. I think this shot rewarded my efforts.

I'm set for Senior Photo Season!
It's back to school time and autumn is just around the corner. It's also the season when I'm busiest doing high school senior photos - one of my favorite subjects. I just put together an ad which will be running in the Centennial High School newspaper - the Patriot Ledger. I'm hoping to soon find out how to get in some of the other local high school newspapers.
Take a look at the ad at left and if you know a high school senior looking for creative quality at affordable prices, point 'em my way! Thanks...

Remembering Fallen Heroes
Each year, ceremonies honoring police officers who gave their lives in the line of duty are held at the Idaho Peace Officer's Memorial in Meridian, Idaho. I have been honored to take photos of the ceremonies since the memorial site was established. Although I am now retired from the Idaho State Police, I would not miss this moving and important annual event, especially as a photographer who finds this an excellent photojournalistic opportunity.
I've posted some of my better shots from this year's ceremony, held May 7, 2010 at this location -

New in the Studio - Green Screen
We're now using a Green Screen backdrop in the studio! What this does is allow us to shoot traditional studio portraits, and later add whatever kind of backdrop we like!
At left is the shot we did of Jessica in the studio -
..And at right, the shot with a new background !
Of course, ANY photo can be a background when you use greenscreen!
Check out the Spring Portraits and Prints Special on the main True Light Photographics Website and download the flyer!
Food Photography - Yum!
Here are a few of the cupcake photos I recently did for Lilly Jane's cupcakes. Yes, the cupcakes -are- as good as they look! Better go get yourself some - they are in Eagle, Idaho. See the map link back on the True Light Photographics website under the Products and Food tab.
